Property description 15ha vineyard with agriturismo in a great location in the heart of the Lugana region on Lake Garda

The farm is located in the middle of the green vineyards, in the immediate vicinity of the tower of S. Martino della Battaglia. Just a stone's throw away from the picturesque towns of Sirmione and Desenzano del Garda, the farm was created from the elaborate renovation of a historic farmhouse, which is already recorded on Napoleonic maps from 1805.
The family business is located in the heart of the Lugana region. The elevated position of the spacious green terrace, which directly adjoins the farmhouse, offers a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Garda. Next to the terrace, a swimming pool invites you to relax. For those who want to enjoy the tranquillity of the vineyards, a 3 km long health trail that surrounds the farm offers ideal opportunities for pleasant walks.
The farm's corporate philosophy is based on the principles of "nature and well-being". These values are also reflected in the winery, where healthy and genuine wines with a very low sulphite content are produced. The brand new wine cellar is extremely functional and technologically advanced. It extends over two levels, allowing the must to flow into the tanks located below the pressing area. The wine is fermented and matured in steel tanks, which guarantees optimum quality.

Location: Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, is a jewel in the northern region of the country and stretches across the three regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige. Surrounded by impressive mountain landscapes in the north and rolling hills in the south, Lake Garda offers a breathtaking backdrop and a Mediterranean climate that is ideal for winegrowing.
Winegrowing has a long tradition in the region around Lake Garda. The diverse soils and mild climate create ideal conditions for growing high-quality grape varieties. The Lugana region, which stretches south of Lake Garda, is particularly famous. This region is known for its white wines, especially the Lugana DOC, which is made from the indigenous Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety.
The Lugana region stretches across the provinces of Brescia and Verona and covers an area with calcareous clay soils that give the wines their distinctive character. Lugana wine is known for its freshness, fine fruity aromas and elegant structure. It is characterized by a harmonious balance between acidity and minerality, which makes it a popular accompaniment to fish dishes and Mediterranean cuisine.
In addition to Lugana wine, the region also offers other notable wines such as Bardolino, a light and fruity red wine, and the stronger Valpolicella. The wineries around Lake Garda are often family-run businesses that pass on their traditions and knowledge from generation to generation.
The vineyards of the Lugana region and the picturesque surroundings of Lake Garda invite you to take long walks and bike rides. Many wineries offer guided tours and tastings where visitors can discover the variety and quality of the regional wines. The combination of beautiful scenery, culinary delights and first-class wines makes the Lugana region and Lake Garda a popular destination for wine lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.

Equipment: With the 2010 harvest, the company introduced an innovative step in the winemaking process: washing the grapes before pressing. For this purpose, the company invested in a special system known as the CLU grape cleaning unit. This process, in which the hand-picked grapes are first cleaned and then fed into the press, aims to produce a healthy and unadulterated product that meets the demands of an increasingly health-conscious consumer.
The CLU grape cleaning unit is an eight-meter-long steel structure consisting of a tank, conveyor belt, vibrating plate and blower. The hand-harvested grapes are brought to the winery in crates and placed in the tank within ten minutes. There they are washed with water and citric acid, a naturally occurring substance in grapes. The grapes are then placed on a conveyor belt and a vibrating plate, where they are freed from dried berries and other impurities. They are then dried with blowers and transported directly to the press. Here, pressing takes place under inert gas to prevent oxidation. The pressed grapes are then transferred to the tanks below the pressing area.
The aim of this washing process is to remove soil, dust, insects, blossom residues and, above all, residues of copper and sulphur, which are used in viticulture to combat fungal diseases. The yeasts that later carry out fermentation are also removed. Citric acid proves to be particularly effective as it binds heavy metals and acts as a solvent for synthetic organic molecules used against botrytis, mildew and downy mildew.
Thanks to this process, up to 100% of the chemicals that would normally remain in the wine can be removed. In this way, the company also fulfills its principles of nature and well-being in the winery and offers a product that meets the high demands of health-conscious consumers.
